AREX Train Between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of Incheon International Airport

How to go from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 or from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 of Incheon International Airport? Can you walk? No. They are 6.4km apart.

Take AREX Train Between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of Incheon International Airport

With the opening of the new Terminal 2 building of Incheon International Airport, the Airport Express (AREX) Train has extended its service to cover both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of the airport.
You can take the AREX Train from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 (Or Terminal 2 to Terminal 1) at a fare of KRW600. The ticket can be purchased at the AREX station of either Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. Note that if you want to take AREX to downtown Seoul Station, please  go here).

Other way to go from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 of Incheon Airport

Is there other way? Yes, you can also take the FREE shuttle bus connecting Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of Incheon Airport if you do not want to pay for the AREX train service. The shuttle bus service is also very convenient because there is a bus departing every 5 minutes.     I arrive in Terminal 1 and to catch a connecting flight on Korean Ailines I need to pay for the train to get me to Terminal 2 ? which airport in the world charges you to trasport to another terminal for connecing flights ?

      Hello yim chan,
      You can also take the free shuttle bus service from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 if you do not want to use AREX train service.

      yes, and that was a huge surprise for me. for getting from T2 to T1 or otherwise you have to go outside to take a shuttle bus. for that you have to get thru customs and passport control twice, both in T1 and T2.
